I have a new Hub 2 that I have been trying to get working from various Windows 10 devices (mobile and desktop) and have experienced nothing but failure. I have an email into tech support, but I was wondering if anyone here could provide some insight. The problem has migrated through three stages.
(1) Logged into app on Windows Phone 10 and I was immediately given a screen that looked like it was talking to the hub (I had not done any setup.) Seeing this, I tried to add a thermostat device. That failed and I assumed it was because I had not setup the hub. Seeing no way to do that, I logged out of app. I'm not sure if this was ever talking to the device, or it was just some unconnected screen.
(2) On logging back in, I was now prompted to add a hub. This was met with a "device not found" error. I tried this from multiple machines (desktop and phone) both wired and wifi.
I tried network reset, factory reset, router reset, hub network test.... Everything looked OK. I can connect to the device via its local IP address and port number and if I go to "connect.insteon.com\getinfo.asp" then the device shows up and everything looks proper. I can log into the "connect.insteon.com" website, but all the pages are blank (as I would expect them to be.) At some point, after hours, of messing with it, the problem changed slightly.
(3) Now when I try to sign into the app I get a "Connection to Hub has been lost" with no way to proceed. That's odd because I was never given any indication that the hub was setup and connected in the first place.
Not sure if this is a Windows ecosystem issue, a bad device, or some sort of Network firewall issue. Any thoughts?
Thanks in Advance,
Matt
