    Leak detectors/sensors

The Insteon leak detectors/sensors need help. First, there is no way to reset them remotely. The config button must be physically pressed to reset the sensor. This means the sensor cannot be remotely reset, if for example, the sensor gets tripped by a cleaning person who isn’t familiar with the device, and you know the device is now dry. Second, all seven of my sensors somehow became disconnected from the hub (maybe due to an extended power outage?). The only way to reconnect them was to delete and add back each of the seven sensors to the hub. There should be a way to quickly reconnect a sensor (or any device) to the hub without having to delete and re-add each device individually.

You shouldn't have to reset them, they are supposed to send an "End of Leak Event" message when the water is gone. That is my problem, several of the sensors aren't doing that. They properly detect the beginning of leak event, but never follow-up with and end of leak event, and as you stated, pressing the button will trigger that but it shouldn't be necessary. Insteon support team, do you have any explanation or resolution to this issue?

It used to be that way. A few customers had situations where they were alerted that the leak was over due to the water pooling away from the sensor. Due to those complaints, the design was changed.
