    Insteon Hub 2245-222 installed in house I purchased

    Hi everyone,

    I just moved into a new house that has an Insteon hub (2245-222) installed and controlling several outlets. Now that I have it connected to my internet it is now controlling the outlets according to the previous owners schedule. I’ve found the user manual online and tried to reset the device without luck. When I scan the 2d barcode from the app to set up a new hub I get a message that the “hub is already in use”. I’m guessing a factory reset is required but according to what I’ve found this has to be done from the app in the users profile or account settings.

    anyone have any ideas how I can tester the device and create my own account and begin using.

    Thanks a lot in advance for any tips or suggestions.

    The Hub is currently locked to the previous owner’s email address.

    Before you do anything, contact Customer Support. They have a procedure for verifying it is yours now, disconnecting it from that other email address, then attaching it to your new account. If they can produce a list of device addresses before they delete everything, it’ll be easier for you to set everything back up the way you like it.
