Instead of having to open into the app, login, select scenes, click on your scene, and pressing on.... Just have a widget for each of your favorites on your homescreen

This might help you , if you on iOS download launcher and setup web launcher with your insteon command (example here, http://www.openremote.org/download/a...InsteonHub.pdf). Check don't open browser and upload a custom icon. Viola! Now you have an insteon widget.
This way it works almost instantly because you don't need to load the app and you can also get alert if you have setup any (you don't get notification while you're in app). The only limitation is you can only create 8 widgets but you can always purchase the pro version.
I don't know about Android but you can find similar app.
