Controller options to allow Google Home hub to interface with Insteon devices

Hi,

What are the options to allow Insteon device control from Google Home hubs? I have an isy-994i and my in-laws have an Insteon hub, we both want to control our existing dimmers/switches from Google hubs and the Google Home app on iphones. Main emphasis is on reliability, then ease-of-use and lastly features.

On a side note, anyone using Google Home here who can recommend both wired and wireless HD cameras (2K or better preferred) with the same criteria?

The Hub and ISY take slightly different approaches to voice control.

For the Hub, you just need to add Insteon to the Google app and login into your Hub through that. It will pick up the device/scene names and allow you to control.

The ISY uses a portal, which requires a yearly subscription. Through the portal you are able to assign your own names to the ISY devices and scenes for control. It even allows you to add alternates names just in case.
