Nokia DS1 vs. Insteon 2477D

I notice that the spec for the new Nokia DS1 switch states support for LED loads of up to 150W and the spec for the Insteon 2477D still only talks about incandescent loads. Is the design of the new Nokia DS1 significantly different than the Insteon 2477D and will it perform better with less LED flickering issues?

Yes! The new line was designed with LEDs in mind while the 2477d was designed for incandcents. Regardless of device, you should always test for compatibility since LEDs behave differently depending on components used
