Defective 2487S

Can I replace a defective 2487S 5 button KPL switch with a 2334-232 5 button KPL dimmer? Please Help!!!

I failed to mention that this defective 2487S is part of a residential system that was installed about 8 years ago and it is controlled by ISY. I have purchased a replacement KPL but all that is available is the 2334-232 KPL. Thanks!!

If the old one is a relay On/Off type and the replacement is a dimmer not an exact swap.
You would have to determine the load is compatible with a dimmer.
Having the new one just go to 0% and 100%. May still not be compatible with the load.
The module can not be replaced with the administrative consoles replace with function. Manual changes would be needed.
All the scenes the old one is in. Would have to be modified with a dimmer module functions.
The UDI forums are a good place to ask. As is their wiki.
The ISY994i was officially discontinued, The companies free customer service ends on 06/01/2023. Paid I believe is to the end of 2024.
Their web site with its knowledgeable users should continue to function as always.
