Replacing Lightolier master 6 button with Insteon 6 button keypad

I am looking to replace an old Lightolier master keypad and the associated dimmers with an Insteon 6 button keypad and 2477 switches. The lightolier master keypad does connect to a local load. It only controls the other switches via their integrated network. Can I install an Insteon 6 button keypad and cap off the load wire and setup the ON/OFF buttons to control a scene instead of the local load (non-existent)?
