Garage Door Opener/Seneor Kit Issue

I installed the kit yesterday and while directly under it I hooked it up to my Insteon App with no issues. It worked fine connected to my app for about 10 mins. Later on I go to access the garage door thru the app and it comes up unknown in yellow with no status or on/off button. I noticed the icon changed to the door sensor icon. It appears its picking up the open/close sensor and not the opener.

I read that some are using a range extender but the opener is about 30-40 feet from my hub. With an extender fix this issue or is there something else causing it? If the extender will work, where is the best place to plug it in at? On the opener or wall plug between hug and opener?

What would cause the app to only recognize the sensor and not the I/O Unit? Range extender will fix the issue? I have one on order, will be here tomorrow.

Both the sensor and the relay are part of the same I/O Linc. Try using a long extension cord to power the Hub from the garage. The pass-through outlet on the I/O Linc is an ideal place to plug in the extension cord. If that works, then a Range Extender should solve the problem
