IP Camera Stuck in B&W Mode

I have a model 2864-222 wireless IP camera. New 3/2/15. The camera switched to IR mode at night but periodically when the lights come back on, the camera video is in black and white. The only way to get it back to color mode is to disconnect the power. A Reboot does not fix the problem.

The camera was stuck in IR mode again this morning. I figured out I could get it out of IR mode by changing operation from Auto to Manual and selecting OFF. Seems like a firmware issue. Camera is still under warranty. Trying to decide if I should return it for another.

Here's a sequence that appears to have resolved this issue. During daylight, I changed the IR setting from Auto to Manual and turned IR off. I then set IR back to Auto. For the past 4 days the camera has been working as it should.

Please report back in a week or so. Don't wait if the problem resurfaces.

I have the same camera and have found the same response. To fix I have to set the IR setting from Auto to Manual and turn IR off, then go back to auto.
