Found an odd issue. The mac address that is stamped on the unit is indeed the proper mac. I reserved a DHCP address and all is ok. But I had an issue tonight where the HUB got a second address from my DHCP server with a different mac. The OUI is D8:80:39 Microchip Technology Inc. I had to reboot the unit and it got the reserved address again with a smart home OUI 00:0E:F3 Smarthome. How can the TCP/IP stack have multiple macs registered to the same NIC interface? Is this some internal IP that is somehow pulling an address?
