    scene based on phone proximity?

I'm not sure if this was a capability of inteon or another home automation system. they all get jumbled together.

If you have an insteon hub, and several insteon on/off, or dimmer switches is there a way to make a scene such that lights automatically come on as soon as your phone is detected on the wifi network?
As I approach my condo from the elevator my phone will automatically join my home's wireless network before I even get out of the elevator. Is there a way to use that as a trigger for a scene? For example, in my head it looks like this.

If time is after 5pm and phone is detected then turn on hallway and kitchen lights.

The Hub is not capable of conditionals (e.g., if this, then do that). For that ability you'll need an ISY or software.
Message from Forum Admin: stusviews passed away in April 2018. Stu was a huge fan of Insteon and a huge presence on both the Smarthome and Insteon forums, helping thousands of us along the way (he had nearly 20,000 posts to his name). We thank him for his contributions, dedication, and passion for making the Smart Home a reality. He will truly be missed.

same question applies though. Is phone proximity an available trigger?

You could have a look at an App called "Tasker" which would possibly do this. You can have the App issue a Command to the Hub / Device based on WiFi near or Geofencing etc. I think Tasker is available for Android only. You can do some conditional statements. In theory, it should do want you want, but.....
