How will the Insteon system perform when power for the system is delivered from a standby generator?

    #2
    Depends on the generator.
If it is not a pure sine wave with a frequency of 60 cycles. Insteon may not work.
If the output is noisy. That would also impact operation.
Is yours a whole house one. There are users with them that may have better information for you.

      Which specific generator?

I've been all over the manufacturer's web site and there is no specification as to the tolerance of the voltage nor frequency. That's OK for most homes, but is risky for home automation. Loads wired to devices will work, but links may or may not.
