I have a Craftsman garage door opener #139.53990DS with a motion detecting control console and would like to connect the dry contact to the control console wires. If this is not possible can I solder them to the printed circuit board at the push button switch.

Momentarily jumper the red and white wires at the wall control. If the garage door operates, then connect the I/O Linc NO and COM terminals to where the red and white wires connect.
