Insteon Compatibilty with Lotus LED Lighting fixtures

Lotus LED light fixtures and Insteon 2477D dimmers- I'm building a house- and hoping to use Insteon dimmers with Lotus lighting- anyone aware of any compatibility issues? flickering? etc? thanks in advance

I don't have a direct recommendation with Lotus LED products and model 2477D fixtures.

Here are some general tips with LED fixtures:
    - The more fixtures put on a dimmer, the less likely there are to be issues.
    - The Insteon 2477D "SwitchLinc Dimmers" are less likely to create flicker than other available in-wall dimmers
    - There are now devices in the Insteon store that can help reduce LED flicker.
    - Advance tip if you can...for new construction or reto-fits, don't stack the electrical cables (commonly called 'Romex') on top of each other in the wall cavity or other runs. Sometimes, the induced signals or voltages from Insteon devices can affect other LED lighting.

You may want to go to their web site and ask them.
They have all kinds of data there.
They did mention a dimmer with a minimum dim level was best.
If they ever tested their products with an Insteon product. Most have not.
The 2477D uses a forward cut type output.
Your best bet again is asking them directly doing a test with one before a bulk installation,

I built this house two years ago and it has pretty much all Lotus lighting. Just about every switch is a 2477D or an insteon keypad. I have not had any issues with compatibility between the insteon devices and the Lotus lighting when dimming, although there are points when you dim far enough the lights may start to flicker (like below 10%.)

The problem I do have is the arc fault breakers tripping when the lights are dimmed. It seems that the led driver in those lights must pulse in a way that fools the breaker into thinking there is an arc fault. It is pretty rare, but I found that if the TV was on and I dimmed the light, it tripped the breaker. I tried swapping breakers and also checked all the connections in the room on that circuit. Eventually I was able to get it to not trip - part of which I believe was plugging the TV into a power strip with surge protection.

So, no problem with Insteon, yes problem with AFCI but now all is working well except in one room where I have a non-lotus light which will still trip the AFCI if it is dimmed at the same time as a lotus light on the same circuit.

        Hope this helps.
        Andy
