Insteon remote control on/off switch, toggle

Many older homes have toggle switches. The current Insteon Toggle Switches are RF only. A dual band version would be highly desirable.

The current Insteon ToggleLinc is powerline only, not RF. Sales do not seem great enough to retool. Maybe that will change, but many older home HA installations replace the toggle switches with SwitchLincs so that they match the keypads.
Message from Forum Admin: stusviews passed away in April 2018. Stu was a huge fan of Insteon and a huge presence on both the Smarthome and Insteon forums, helping thousands of us along the way (he had nearly 20,000 posts to his name). We thank him for his contributions, dedication, and passion for making the Smart Home a reality. He will truly be missed.

I agree with Stusviews. Sales just doesnt justify upgrading the togglelincs. With the amount of time that has passed since most devices became dual band, I would be surprised if that changed. Especially since they've pretty much gutted that line to only have white switches.

Decora style switches are associated with a higher end (though that depends on an individual's preference) look as well as matching the keypads. It behooves them to focus on those than toggle style.

Why did Insteon pull there products from retail stores anyway? That could have been a great way to market there products. Seems it was short lived. Maybe the Microsoft partnership will flourish soon!!
