    Keypad vs. "KeyPadLinc"

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but what is the difference between the Insteon Keypad Dimmer Switch (2334) and the KeyPadLinc (2487)?

The former is a dimmer, the latter a relay (ON/Off) switch.
Message from Forum Admin: stusviews passed away in April 2018. Stu was a huge fan of Insteon and a huge presence on both the Smarthome and Insteon forums, helping thousands of us along the way (he had nearly 20,000 posts to his name). We thank him for his contributions, dedication, and passion for making the Smart Home a reality. He will truly be missed.

Besides what Stu has indicated about the type of loads it can control. You should be aware the KPL dimmer is thinner than the KPL relay model. This is rarely a problem in new home constructions but if you live in a older home.

You will quickly realize it will either not fit or will require serious effort to persuade said device to fit inside.
