how to use Insteon I/O linc 2450 in a scene with Alexa

I posted this in a different section with few views, so moving here. Not really sure where I should have put it.

Searched this forum and only two discussions 8 years old.

I have a 2450 controlling a projector lift and a screen lift. When the 2450 is closed they both come down. When open they both go up. I have two insteon scenes. One drops the lifts, turns off lights and turns on sconces. The other does the opposite. Works great on the Insteon director app.

My goal is to add other non Insteon appliances such as projector / AVR through an Alexa routine.

However Alexa will not work with the 2450 (per Insteon and my experience) in a Routine using the Insteon Scenes.

Does someone have a work around?

    Thanks

You can try to resolve your issue by using some of the following steps:

Connect the Insteon 2450 to Alexa: Make sure you have linked your Insteon account to Alexa. You can do this by using the Alexa app and searching for "Insteon" in the device settings.

Create Scenes: In the Insteon app, you have created scenes for elevators, displays, and lights. Make sure these scenes are synced with Alexa.

Create Routines in Alexa: For Alexa to control non-Insteon devices (like projectors or AVRs), you need to create a routine in Alexa. In this routine, you can combine Insteon and other device control commands.

Check the connection: If Alexa is not responding to the Insteon 2450 device in the routine, double-check your network connection and Insteon settings in the Alexa app.

This way you will be able to integrate the Insteon 2450 with other devices in an Alexa routine.

    Hope this helps you out!
