    2472D outlets turning off

I have a 2477D dimmer switch that controls four 2472D outlets. Each of them has a transformer plugged into it (with the little home-plate shaped device over the prongs) that is attached to low-voltage cabinet lighting in my kitchen.

For the last few weeks, two of those outlets have begun turning off overnight (sometime after midnight, but before 8am) and I have to turn them back on each morning by tapping the dimmer switch (or asking Google or Alexa to turn them on).

How do I figure out why this is happening and how do I fix it?

There's 2 possible paths to explore

1- Do you have any schedules for devices that could be causing this?

    2. Low voltage lighting transformers are notoriously line noisy devices and interfere with Insteon devices when plugged in and near. A simple test for one of them is to temporarily create distance between the transformer and the light by putting an extension cord in between.... the longer the better... and let that run a few nights a see how it changes things. There might be other ways to address it, but start with diagnosising

I have some devices set to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. None of these devices are in those groups. This morning, only one of the plugs turned off overnight (perhaps at sunrise). I'll try moving the transformers a bit further from the plugs, but they set on the top of cabinets (where they drive the internal lights), so I can't move them very far. By the way, they've worked without issue for over 5 years before this started happening.

Some times power supplies deteriorate with age.
So the supplies maybe making more line noise.
Any way you can use a filter designed for Insteon or X10 on one as a test

It's not about physical separation, it's about "wire feet" of power cord between the transformer and device. My suggestion to add the extension cord is only to test the theory. As BLH suggests, the transformers may be going bad. The extension cord test is a way to validate that

Understood, will try the extension cord. I've verified that they shut off sometime between 1 and 4am, well before sunrise. If this is related to transformer noise, why would it always make them shut off at the same time, rather than randomly through the day?

Hard to say, that's why one of the suggestions was to look at programs, which you did. Let's see what happens with the extension cord test and go from there.

So, update - I haven't added the extension cords yet, but the outlets miraculously stopped turning off 3 nights ago. By any chance, was there a software update of any type to the hub? And maybe another that happened 2 or 3 weeks ago that started this problem?

There have not been any deployments of updates for the Hub II in many years. You can check the updates for the Hub II on this page:

Thanks for the ideas, I'll try them if the problem recurs, but as of now, it simply magically stopped. Weird.
