I have 2 hall ceiling lights currently controlled with 4 light switches. All 4 are in the wrong place. Can I get by with the replacement of one of the 4 switches with an Insteon dimmer and control both ceiling lights remotely?

All four switches have to be Insteon. If you want them to still be in place and working.
One gets wired to the Line, Load and Neutral. The others get rewired to supply Line and Neutral and Load capped off. Then all of them are cross linked to each other.
It would be too easy to have a mechanical switch turn off the lights and you then loose Insteon control.
I suppose you could rewire the one using Insteon so the other three are no longer working and control it.
