Insteon wired thermostat remote temp sensor?.

    Hello,

Can I run a remote temp sensor from my only Insteon thermostat to my basement to monitor and regulate the temperature in the basement only, through an appliance module connected to a small oil filled space heater?

If not, would I have to purchase a wireless thermostat, install in the basement and have it control an appliance module connected to a small oil filled space heater?

    thanks

Looks like there are some accessories on page 11:

The wireless thermostat seems like a better option but I would be concerned about wireless communication reliability from a basement. Especially if you don't have that many dual band devices already.

Tap Time/Sensor to enter Temperature Calibration Mode. 2) Tap Mode step-3.png. Take a picture of your thermostat's wires and apply the optional wire labels.

There is a user on the UDI Forums.
Who wired the external sensor into the thermostat where the internal sensor is wired. You then lost the internal measurements and got the remotes measurements.
