Insteon Hub V2 does not seem to support device-level schedule for SwitchLinc V2

I have several switches, dimmers, outlets and sensors with the Hub V2. I noticed that if I look at one of my SwitchLinc devices they do not have a "Schedule" option when I look at the device in the Windows or Android apps. However the dimmers do have a schedule option on the device page. See the pictures below - "Dimmer", "Switch"omegle xender

In the app I can locate the Schedules tab and successfully enter a scheduled off time again the Switch but the device is not turned off to the schedule, See the picture "Schedule"

I know there is a work-around to put the Switch in a scene, but I am intrigued that the Hub will allow programming a schedule for a device (in the schedules tab) but then not appear to act on it. I am fairly sure that no devices (switches nor dimmers) actually have an internal schedule ability, so believe that the hub is just not sending the on/off at schedule time.

I notice that there are entries for each device called "Device Details" and appear to have a hex representation of a bit pattern. I notice that the pattern for the devices that do not seem to have a schedule option in the apps device tab do not have bit value 4 in the 5th of the "nibbles". I wonder if that is a clue and wonder if it explains some of the weird issues some people are reporting that "schedules don't work"

Simply, this has more to do with the firmware protocol on the devices. (i1cs vs i2cs) Older FW doesn't respond to newer commands that the Hub V2 uses so you only have the option of the single schedule. The newer devices respond to all commands and so have more options. Another difference between the new and older devices is when you make property changes inside the app, or add them to a scene, you have to manually put the older devices into linking mode, while the newer devices just update.

Insteon never put together a FW reverence list so it is sometimes frustrating to try and figure it out.

This goes over some basic differences: http://madreporite.com/insteon/i2cs.html

It is possible that the absence of the "Schedule" option on some of your devices in the Windows or Android apps may indicate that those devices do not support scheduling through the app interface. As you mentioned, one workaround for this is to create a scene that includes the device and then schedule the scene to turn on or off at a specific time.

Regarding the issue with the scheduled off time not turning off the device, it is possible that there may be some issue with the hub not sending the on/off command at the scheduled time. It may be worth checking the hub logs to see if there are any errors or issues that could be causing this.

As for the "Device Details" entries and their hex representation, without more context it is difficult to say what they may represent. It is possible that the absence of bit value 4 in the 5th nibble may be related to the scheduling issue, but this would need to be further investigated. H‑E‑B Partner Services

It seems that the Hub V2 does not provide a "Schedule" option for SwitchLinc devices in the Windows or Android apps, unlike the dimmers. Although the app allows scheduling for the SwitchLinc devices, they do not appear to respond to the schedule. This might indicate that the hub is not sending the on/off commands at the scheduled time. The "Device Details" entries show a hex representation of a bit pattern, and the absence of bit value 4 in the 5th nibble could be a clue to the issue. This could potentially explain the reported problems with schedules not working for some users.
