    Wireless Phone Charger interference

My existing 2477D Dual-Band Dimmer recently stopped communicating with my ISY-994i controller. I replaced the dimmer with a new one but still could not add it to my system. I received "Cannot determine Insteon Engine" or "Failure to determine address table address". This switch is on the same circuit as my TV and TIVO DVR, but that has not changed in years. I've .also had a phone charger plugged into this circuit for years with no trouble.

I recently added a Wireless Phone Charger (hockey puck) to accommodate both Apple and Android wireless charging off the same cable. That's when the problem started. By unplugging the 'hockey puck'.I was immediately able to add the new 2477D with no problem.

I hope this helps others solve or avoid problems.

I have seen similar findings for questionable chargers.
For Insteon, X10 and other power line communications protocols.
I did actually see a test of a charger making lots of noise. On the JV Digital web site for X10 issues.
