controller??

hello all. very interested in using insteon products but imagine I need a controller that's compatible, correct?

I'm thinking about either MyServer or Homeseer. would either of those work? thanks

Technically a controller is not necessary. You can use the manual linking function in the modules.
If you want to do anything more complex. You will need a controller.
I am not familiar with the programs you pointed out. They would probably us a module like a PLM.
You could also use an Insteon HUB or for more complex tasks an ISY994i.

I haven't heard of my server but if they say it's insteon compatible then it would work. Homeseer can be used with insteon. For either to work, you'll want to make sure that you have a 2413 plm. My personal favorite is the isy994 which I recommend.

Here are the instructions for MyServer. It does call out the need for a PLM...either the 2413S or 2413U.
