Help with 3 way wiring 2 keypadlinks

Hi Everyone, long time lurker first time poster.

I recently moved into a new house and am wiring it up for insteon. I have a 3 way switch that controls 3 potlights and cannot figure out how to wire it for 2 keypadlincs. Hoping everyone out there can help me out. Here are the details of my setup

box 1 - 1 switch - 1 black wire connected to black terminal on switch, 1 black and red on common terminals going out of box, white wires connected together
box 2 - 1 switch - black and red wired coming into box on common terminals, white wire on black terminal on switch

I do not have access to the wiring at the lights as they are behind finished drywall. Can anyone help me out?

    Thanks

    Calberrt from Canada

    Calbert,

here is the short answer. With your existing three ways locations one wire is the hot and the other two are travelers.
the second location has the load and the other 2 the travelers

the insteon switch wired into the location with the load used the red wire to connect to the load and the other two are hot and neutral. Travelers may be used to carry the hot from one box to the other.

the other location is just a hot and neutral that connect and the load is capped. Then the switches are linked together both directions.

these video I did years ago may help.
