    SmartLinc 2-way as controller

I have an old SmartLinc switch (LED at top and set button on the right mid paddle- Model 1181 or 1182). It is the controller in one of my scenes. I am trying to link it to a keypadLinc, but the manual is not clear on how to transmit the controller signal. On later ones, you hold the top paddle in until it beeps, This one, I have no clue.

    Are you doing X10 signaling?
As those models are X10 compatible and not Insteon.
Though some Insteon modules did also support an X10 address added to it.

I started with X10, but moved on to Insteon. I have decided to replace that switch win a SwitchLinc I have as a spare.

So the X10 only 1181 or 1182. Has been replaced with an Insteon enabled module?
