2477D Switch always has power on Load Wire

The switch seems to work fine visually. If you press the paddle switch on or off, the indicator lights on the switch work correctly, and the software in the controller correctly reports the switch state. It can also be controlled by the controller software just fine.

But the red load wire is always energized. Even when disconnected with just a wire cap on it.

    Sound like a defective switch?

Are you measuring the output voltage with a load on it. It is possible a typical hi impedance meter will read the small amount of leakage through the triac when off with no load connected...
If the voltage is full 120VAC with a load and the load will not go off but the LED graph goes up and down. Then the switch does have a problem.

This was indeed the case! The switch works fine fully installed. Thank you very much for responding.

Is it as simply as attaching the line from the switch to the line from the wall and to the load going to the light together? And then capping off the load wire coming from the switch? In theory that seems to make sense, but would that work? RunYourPool Sign In
