    Upgrading to new Hub (2245-222)

Is there a procedure to upgrade to the newer Hub from the older larger Hub (2245-222)?

So far I did a simple replacement but the iOS app does not detect the new Hub on the network. Neither does the Harmony app which was the reason for the upgrade.

All goes back to normal by simply re-installing the old hub.

    Thanks,

I am in the same situation. Old 2245-222 and now have 2245-222. Transition not going well. Access Points (Extenders) 2443 will not sync and some of my dimmer modules also hit a wall.
There should be a backup feature to save us having to run a complete reinstall. Poor planning and support.

So you are telling me that if I want to upgrade my hub I have to re-create ALL my devices, scenes, etc. from scratch? There is no way to transfer all my information and settings to the new hub directly from my account? This is completely unacceptable. It takes a long time to set up the entire house when you have a lot of devices and scenes, like I do. Please tell me there is a way.

We are working on a solution that would allow for a home configuration to be migrated. We'll share more information once it becomes available. For any hub failure issues, we also offer a repair service if you do not want to reconfigure with a new hub. Details can be found here: https://forum.insteon.com/forum/main...er-powering-on

Two things. First, I am using the Insteon app in beta testing. So far, it seems to be working well, however, I have noted a thing or two in loading up the app and using it for a few days. Is there someone at Insteon that is collecting suggestions for this app? Second, my switches and plug-ins from my Hub 2242-222 all are working well with Hub 2245-222. However, I can't seem to link the Smarthome tilt/pan cams that I used on the old Hub. Any suggestions?

Some added information: Insteon Wireless HD 720p Camera with Pan, Tilt & Night Vision

Is this a problem with a limitation of the Hub 2245-222?

Here is the link for feedback on the new Insteon app: https://www.insteon.com/ima-beta/feedback

It looks like it goes to a survey of some sort.

For the cameras I would recommend looking at the OWLR app. I don't see Insteon adding support for the cameras in the new app anytime soon. They are discontinued product so it would be hard to justify allocating development time to that IMHO.

Here is a list of compatible devices and they also list things they will be working on in the future:
