My old 2245-222 is starting to die. I apply power and it will show the green light and function properly for about 30 minutes then becomes unresponsive. The migration service to a new hub will not work for me so I'm just replacing it with a new hub. My configuration is very small - 6 switch modules (2477S) 1 dimmer module (2457D2). I have an active subscription to the Insteon Hub Account Access.
How do I get ready to install and populate the new hub?
1. Do I factory reset the old hub? Since this will delete my Insteon account, can I create another with the new hub?
2. Do I delete all devices and scenes from the old hub?
3. Do I factory reset all of my devices? I assume I do this so that when I add the devices to the new hub, they will have the ID of the new hub.
4. How do I move my Insteon Hub Account Access subscription to the new hub?
I've had this system for 10 years, migrating over from an X10 system with the 2242 hub and upgrading to the 2245 hub in 2018. Since it has always been functional (except for a few power line issues that were resolved in 2018) I haven't bothered to learn much about how it works. Also had a brief run with Home Assistant in 2022 with the shutdown situation. Appreciate any help you can offer.
