    Why Sonos Device Limit?

"A maximum of four Sonos Players can be added to the Insteon app."

What kind of horse dung is this?
Use this article to understand the currently supported features and current limitations of Sonos Player integration. Supported Features * Control play, pause, volume, and tracks for a Sonos Player from an Insteon Keypad, Mini Remote or Wall Switch * Trigger a Sonos preset from an Insteon Keypad, Mini Remote or Wall Switch Controlling a Sonos Player from an Insteon device requires creating a scene. Learn more about creating a scene by viewing this article.  Current Limitations * App support currently planned for iOS first. Android will be coming shortly after. No timeline available for Windows support. * A maximum of four Sonos Players can be added to the Insteon app. * Only one Sonos Player can be a member of a scene. * At this time, you are unable to edit Sonos Player functions from within a scene. If you wish to change a Sonos function after a scene has been created, delete the scene and re-create the scene with your desired changes. * At this time, Insteon app-learned presets do not work with all possible Sonos sources. The following sources have been tested and are known to function: o Amazon Music o Apple Music Radio (Beta) o Pandora Stations o tunein * To facilitate preset playback from an Insteon device, the Insteon app lets you learn source presets. Configuring these playlists is done from within the Insteon app when editing a Sonos Player settings. o You can learn up to ten Insteon app Sonos presets o These presets are shared among all configured Sonos Players * Insteon has tested Sonos support with the following Sonos Players: o Sonos Play:1 o Sonos Play:3 o Sonos Play:5 o Sonos:Connect o Sonos Connect:Amp (ZP series) o Other Sonos Players may work but have not been tested by Insteon * If your Sonos Players or your router are disconnected from power, it may take up to two minutes before your Sonos Players are rediscovered by the Insteon Hub.    Additional Sonos Support Featured Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh No Music Playing when Learning a Sonos Preset Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Sonos Player Not Found During Initial Setup Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Insteon Connects, Sonos Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Connect to Wi-Fi When Adding a Sonos Player Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh You Already Have the Maximum Number of Sonos Players Configured Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Sonos Player Features and Limitations Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Controlling a Sonos Player from an Insteon Device Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh Jan 6, 2016 Hub Sonos, Insteon Connects Brian Baugh

The Hub is an entry level device. OTOH, not many or any HA devices integrate with Sonos easily.
Message from Forum Admin: stusviews passed away in April 2018. Stu was a huge fan of Insteon and a huge presence on both the Smarthome and Insteon forums, helping thousands of us along the way (he had nearly 20,000 posts to his name). We thank him for his contributions, dedication, and passion for making the Smart Home a reality. He will truly be missed.

I agree this seems rather limited. I was disappointed to see only 4 could be added and nearly wrote it off as a feature.
On the other side, I looked at the capability it appears the integration of Sonos is only geared towards alarm/alert usage and not full control. With that in mind, I don't see much need for more than 4, at least in my case. I am looking forward to the upcoming Echo/Sonos integration as a way to fulfill the need for Sonos support.
