INSTEON Smart LED Light Bulb and Wireless Motion Sensor

    Greetings:
If I install an Insteon Smart LED Light Bulb in a room, will the Insteon Motion Sensor be able to connect to the bulb.
So that whenever there is movement in front of the Motion Sensor the bulb will turn on in the room.
I also have the Insteon hub installed.

Yes, you can accomplish that. Reminder: to put the bulb into linking mode, turn it full on and unscrew it until it loses power. Wait about 10 seconds (or more) and screw it back in.

      Hello Robert,

To add to Stu's comment it should be noted you have to decide whether to manually link the MS to the LED bulb or do so via the HUB II. If you link it manually the HUB II will not know the state or condition of the devices.

If a controller is in place such as the HUB II you should always use this method to add, delete, and create scene relationships. Failing to do so will cause people to think devices are not operating as expected.

Lastly, if it was not made clear the LED bulb must remain powered at all times. The LED bulb is essentially turned ON-OFF via Insteon control management and not by removing power from the actual device.
