How to reload data base into the modem

I am trying to reload the data base into a reset Insteon modem using the 026F command and all I get is a NAK returned. Tried everything I can think of and only rejects. Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Are you sending more than 02 6F? As the whole command has more in the command string. If the command is echoed back ends in a 15 NAK. The command was not processed. Maybe incorrect command format or missing needed data.

Oh yes! A typical command would be '026F20E20147D11F022E48'. I had originally linked a bunch of devices and had a data base in the IM of around 12 entries. I wrote the code to get this data and store it on disk which worked fine. I then wrote the code to reset the IM which also works. After resetting, when I get the data from the IM, there is nothing there. I then wrote the code to reload the IM and that is where I am having the problem. The first thing I need to know is am I am doing this correctly ? Can you reload the IM like I'm doing and is this the way to go about it? If I manually linked a keypad, for instance, into the IM, I can get the data and everything is correct. If I use the 026F command like the one above, I get an ACK but that doesn't help if the IM is cleared, I get nothing but NAK's..

This is almost always what tech support will ask you to try first, as it often solves the problem. To restart your equipment, unplug the power cable for 60 seconds and plug it back in. The equipment will take a few minutes to reboot.
