Things that really concerns about Insteon

I really like INSTEON but things that really concerns me right now with choosing and staying with with INSTEON and the future of INSTEON and maybe someone has info that they can share to help easy the pain and give hope with staying with INSTEON.

1> It does not look like Homelinc has been updated in a while. It is still supported?

2> How often the Hub has been updated if ever? Are the plans to run Homelinc type functionally on the Hub? Can the Hub be updated with new software features? Is there work being done to increase the functionally of the Hub?

I really have been questioning staying with INSTEON.

1. No updates to the HL software has been provided for quite sometime.

2. The HUB is in its 3rd iteration, HUB one was based on the SmartLinc PLM form factor, later there was HUB v1 which had some issues, and was quickly replaced with v2, HUB II is the third release of this controller from Smartlabs.
