Is the Insteon Hub 2245-222 secure given the latest massive DOS hack last Friday?

Assuming a hacker gets past my WLAN WPA-PSK password, is the Insteon Hub Hub 2245-222 Rev 1.4 5214 vulnerable to the "Internet of Things" hack that wreaked havoc last Friday?

Nothing connected to the internet is impervious to a hack. Security is something that you need to take care of locally.
Message from Forum Admin: stusviews passed away in April 2018. Stu was a huge fan of Insteon and a huge presence on both the Smarthome and Insteon forums, helping thousands of us along the way (he had nearly 20,000 posts to his name). We thank him for his contributions, dedication, and passion for making the Smart Home a reality. He will truly be missed.

If multi billion dollar companies as well as the government can get hacked, it is highly unlikely an 80 dollar device would be impervious to hacking.

No system is hacker proof. Those that claim they are, simply haven't been hacked yet. Not to minimize the importance of security, but nothing is immune to hacking as Stus pointed out. The likelihood of an individual being hacked is extremely small. However best practices towards security is recommended.

Thanks Isaac, this is exactly the information I was looking for. BTW, after reading Insteon's official response I looked for similar information about Nest home automation products and ran across this gem of an article.
