    Camera motor won't stop

Installed a 2864-222 IP camera 4/2015 and it worked fine until a few days ago. Now when the camera is turned on, it goes through it's start up motions and hangs with the motor still running. Can not control any movements. Video is fine. Reset everything, but no help. Disconnected it and just plugged in power. Same thing!! Any ideas ?

If the motor continues to run, but the camera stops moving, then something is broken.

I had the same exact problem. The camera pointed straight up and would not respond. I did a total tear down. About a dozen small screws later I found the little dab of hot glue holding the blue wire on the drive motor limit switch was rolling around in the camera and the wire was loose. The wire had no stripped conductor exposed so it had snapped off at the solder point. I re-soldered the wire on the switch. I did not really plan to be successful in my repair but all turned out great and the camera is working again.

I actually had the same thing happen to 2 of my HD cameras must be a manufacturing defect, I was lucky and got them swapped by amazon.

If it happens again outside return window i will do the same, thanks for reporting.
