    Alexa and Apple HomeKit Integration

Are there any plans to develop a hub that supports both Alexa and HomeKit? I would like to use Siri (especially while away from home), but prefer Alexa while at home (more reliable).

Apple restricts what HomeKit allows. They certainly wouldn't allow a competitor, although the ISY portal allows both Amazon's Alexa and Google's Home, but not Siri.

Right now the 2243 HUB for the Homekit. Is no longer listed on the Smarthome web site.
If you use a web search to find the page. It is marked. The Product Is Unavailable. Either they are working on improvements or it may just disappear.

I've written a homebridge plugin that allows you to use Homekit with any of the Insteon Hubs or a PLM. If you have a 2245, you could use both the Alexa integration and Homekit functionality via the plugin. As it turns out, the Hub Pro is a Beagleboard with a serial connection to an Insteon modem and you can run homebridge directly on the Hub Pro itself. See more info here:
