Is it possible to run Hub Pro and Hub side by side?

I am new to Insteon so I'm still trying to figure out the optimal setup. I purchased the Hub Pro because I really want HomeKit compatibility as I believe that will give me the most options going forward. As soon as I got the Hub Pro setup though I started discovering all of it's limitations. The biggest one for me is the lack of keypad support. I would assume Insteon will come out with keypads that are compatible with the Hub Pro but who knows when that will be. So I was thinking one possible solution would be for me to run a Hub Pro and a Hub side by side. I would have to duplicate all the setup of devices and scenes but I could live with that one time cost. I would use the Hub to control keypads and schedules and then the Hub Pro for Siri control.

I asked Insteon support and they said it would be possible but I might have a lot of problems. Before I go down that route, I wanted to ask the community, has anyone tried this yet? If so how did it go?

    Thanks

I'm using the original Hub (2242), the Hub 2 (2245) and a Hub Pro (2243) concurrently, so the answer is yes.

Thanks Stu! Can I ask you a more specific question. If you turn a scene on using a keypad, can you then turn it off using Siri? Or does HomeKit get confused by the fact that the scene was turned on by the Hub rather than the Hub Pro?

Hopefully a Siri user will reply.

No iPhone or iPad Stu? What is the world coming to

Maybe it's enough to simply turn a scene on with a keypad and then turn it off with the Insteon+ app. I feel like that MIGHT be the same use case.

Siri gets super confused with this.

In fact, all of the apps I've used (Home, Insteon+, Insteon, and Indigo Touch) have problems if you control a device from a different app and then try to control it from a different app.

For example, if I use my Mini-remote that talks to Indigo running on my Mac to turn a light on, then tell Siri to turn it off, Siri thinks it's already off (because she didn't turn it on in the first place) and does nothing.

So you do a lot of "Siri, turn the light on. Siri turn the light off". It's incredibly annoying.
