The story I've heard is that the one guy they had working on the Windows apps left the company, and they don't have the headcount or expertise to work on the Windows app anymore.
On the bright side, they have a public API. I'm familiar with writing Windows apps, and I recently received my developer key to access the APIs. Now I just need to get enough free time to give it a shot.
