    Help with responders and controllers

I have a 6 button on/off switch in my dining, and it's working great. The load is a pair of chandeliers in the dining room. When I turn on the switch (large button on top), it automatically turns on a pair of LED downlights over the bar. These are controlled by a in-line controller.

The bar lights are also controlled by Scene A, so when the bar lights are on, the Scene A light turns on.

Here's what I want to have happen:
    1. System is off
    2. Press ON button at the top
    3. Chandelier (load) turns on
    4. Bar lights turn on
    5. Scene "A" light turns on. <<- this step doesn't work

    1. System is off
    2. Press OFF button at the bottom
    3. Chandelier (load) turns off
    4. Bar lights turn off
    5. Scene "A" light also turns off <<- this step doesn't work

    1. System is on, Chandelier and bar lights are on. Scene A button is lit
    2. Press Scene A button to turn bar lights OFF
    3. Scene A button turns off

    1. System is off, Chandelier and bar lights are off. Scene A button is off
    2. Press Scene A button to turn bar lights ON
    3. Bar lights turn on

Is button A included in the scene as a responder?

      Stu,

No, the button A is not a responder. How do I do that? I can't figure out the UI in Houselink. Can you walk me through setting up a button as a responder to the same device?

Select the scene you created from the left panel. In the right panel, there's columns for both Controller and Responder. Check both.

Stu, that did it. Things I learned:
          1. Don't be afraid of scenes. They make things easier. I never even considered that I could use a scene for this.
          2. It's easier to create a scene than to do all the manual linking.

          Thank you !
